Safety & Red Line Protocol

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Child safety is the foundation of KidzKourtRoom™. This document explains how the program is designed to keep young people safe and what happens the moment a real safety concern appears — what we call a “red line.”

1. Safe by design

  • All Level 1 sessions use pre-written fictional cases only. No real student conflicts are ever processed.
  • No personal data of any participant is collected, stored, or shared.
  • Students rotate through defined leadership roles in a structured, guided process.
  • A certified adult — the Silent Ally — is present in every session for safety and ethical oversight.

2. The Silent Ally

A Silent Ally is a certified adult (an educator, youth minister, counselor, or staff member) who has completed the 25-hour EELM℠ formation program. The Silent Ally does not direct the deliberation and does not decide outcomes — the students lead. The Silent Ally’s job is to hold the conditions for that leadership to be safe, and to act immediately if a real safety concern arises.

3. Red lines — when we stop

Some situations require an immediate adult response and take priority over any exercise. If any of the following appears, the Silent Ally pauses the activity at once and follows the institution’s established protocols:

  • Any disclosure or sign of abuse, neglect, or harm to a child.
  • Any indication that a young person may be at risk of harming themselves.
  • Any threat of violence toward another person.
  • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination, whether during a session or revealed through one.
  • Any other situation that raises a genuine concern for a participant’s wellbeing or safety.

4. Mandatory reporting and existing protocols

KidzKourtRoom™ does not replace legal mandatory-reporting obligations or the child-protection procedures of the host institution. Those obligations and procedures always take precedence. When a red line appears, the responsible adults follow their institution’s and their jurisdiction’s established reporting and safeguarding steps.

5. What the program is not

KidzKourtRoom™ is not therapy, legal advice, an investigation, or a disciplinary process. It is an educational practice for building ethical-leadership habits through fiction.

6. Privacy and data safety

Because Level 1 uses fictional cases and collects no student personal data, there is no student information to expose. For how we handle information submitted through the website, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Reporting a concern

If you have a concern about the program, contact us at info@kidzkourtroom.com. In an emergency, or if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right away.
